Week 12 Final Post

Well this the last week in our class Cloud Computing. In the last 11 weeks I learn alot of things about how the cloud works from cloud models,  cloud technologies, Cloud Infrastructure to Security and Future of the cloud.   Every week I try to write on different subjects we were learning in the class that week. I choice to talk about these topics because alot it had to do with what everyone uses everyday, information, data, security and networking. These resources are in either at home or in at your place at work in various amounts pending on where you work.  To me each chapter in the book broke down each topic in a very easy fashion that made it easy to understand what was going on in each subject matter.  Even though each topic was different in nature, but it all related to cloud computing in some form that was being used as we speak. I felt writing blogs every week did help me learn more about the subject that we were learning, plus it gave a me a over all view  on how cloud computing works no matter where you work or live.  One thing I learned is that you have to read the material and make sure when you research information about cloud computing that your using sites that are valid, and you get something out of the article. Another lesson learned is that if you end up doing group projects, make sure all of you are working together to get everything done on time, and make sure you all contribute the same amount of effort.

Week 11 Blog

Well were in week 11 and were getting to the home stretch toward the end of this class.  This week assignment has been a pretty good one so  far. Learning about security risk within the cloud makes you think of how so many organizations might not realize the risk of having potential identity threats and vulnerabilities within their information systems can be cause by either human or environmental. Eveyday you see on the internet some group is always trying to hack into a major companies to get information. This is why organizations need to make sure that they have a good security protocol that can mitigate incoming attacks before they reach critical areas.

Week 10

This week homework pertaining to Cloud Service Management understanding ITIL was a very good subject. Learning how organizations are trying to implement this type of system to improve proficiency within their infrastructure big or small shows you how some companies will learn to adapt to new ways to be ahead of companies to future their expansion and services. But their will be companies out their who will not be ready to make that step because of cost and not be able to have to resources to maintain the services that will be provided.

WEEK 9 Blog

Week 9 assignment on Cloud services roll out was a good read.  When a company is looking for vendor to upgrade their network to a cloud based infrastructure, they need to make sure the vendor and the the IT managers in the company are working had and hand.  If the vendor is the only one who's managing all your network, your IT manager is not going to be in the loop when issues arise, because he will have no idea what the service provider has implemented.

Week 8 Blog

This weeks class on Applications in the cloud has been a very good subject.  A cloud based computing continues to evolve, I can see desktop applications in the business sector transitioning to the cloud based infrastructure.  Businesses will be able to share data with all their employees or clients whenever want anywhere in the world, without having worry about additional cost for equipment.  Data can be managed with limited resources which would cut  down cost.

Week 7 Blog

When I was researching information on our homework assignment dealing with service agreements, I realize that if  own a business that you want to implement a cloud infrastructure, you need to make sure that the service provider that you use is held accountable for any technical issues that may arise. You also want to make when you purchasing a agreement that your information will be secured, and  updates and patches are are installed properly with no issue that will cause disruption of daily business flow throughout the organization.

Week 6 Blog

This week information about protecting clients and servers made me think how so many businesses might not realize the issues that may arise if you don't have the right security implementations, and service agreements setup with your service provider. Your cloud infrastructure big or small need to be setup for security, scalability and proficiency in order to improve your business cost and output wherever your businesses is located nation wide or abroad.

The week's assignment pertaining to benefits of Cloud computing for businesses is pretty interesting. You never realize how many businesses big or small, depend on cloud computing to help with cost saving and reliability of services to help keep their business running efficiently.  More jobs are being created daily with the use of cloud computing because you can hire workers that can work from home which save a company from having to worry about leasing property or having to hire additional staff because of the work load.

Week 4 Post

Week 4 lesson on cloud technologies and alternatives is a pretty interesting subject. I never knew that there were so many different types of cloud based applications out there.  When I always hear the word "cloud" I always though of Verizon backing all the data from your mobile phone or tablet to some type of server,.  Didn't realize how so many games and apps we used today are  based on cloud applications.
